3. Cleveland, Ohio

This, combined with the quality of healthcare, has made Allentown the Asthma Capital of the United States this year. This city has seen the most number of asthma-related ER visits and asthma-related deaths in 2021.

6. Dayton, Ohio –  Dayton also makes to the list of asthma belts in Ohio, thanks to bad air quality and increased poverty rates. The number of asthma-related deaths and ER visits has been increasing regularly in this city.

7. Detroit, Michigan –  All kinds of pollens ,  including ragweed, grass, and mold, is usually high all through the year in Detroit. As a result, the number of asthma-related hospital visits is multiple times higher here when compared to other Michigan cities. Asthma and allergies are commonly seen in adults and children.

8. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Thanks to poor air quality and a lot of low-income neighborhoods, Philadelphia makes it to the list of cities with the highest asthma cases in the United States.
